Young-Ki Choi and In-Sook Kwon have been newly appointed as directors of KDF.
A graduate of Seoul National University, Mr. Choi received a doctorate in economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He has served successively as the president of Korea Labor Institute and the president of Korean Academy of Industrial Relations. Currently Mr. Choi is the chairman of the Government Workers Labor-Management Culture Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and a special advisor on jobs to the governor of Gyeonggi Province.
Ms. Kwon, while a student in the Department of Clothing and Textiles at Seoul National University, participated in the student movement and the labor movement. She received a doctorate in women’s studies from Clark University in the US. After serving as a professor of women’s studies at South Florida State University, Ms. Kwon has been teaching at Myeongji University’s Bangmok College of Basic Studies since 2003. The term of the directorship is from June 5, 2012 to December 23, 2013.
